Fake AI-generated image of Donald Trump and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. goes viral on social media

Photos of Donald Trump alongside Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. have been circulating on social media, despite being completely fake. The image, which shows Trump alongside the civil rights leader, was created using artificial intelligence software and has no basis in reality. There is no evidence to suggest that Trump ever met Dr. King, as he was just 21 years old at the time of the civil rights leader’s assassination in 1968.

The image was initially shared by a social media user named Dom Lucre, who has gained attention in the past for sharing controversial content. The account responsible for spreading the fake photo, Trump_History45, is known for creating alternate history scenarios involving the former president.

It is unclear which specific program was used to generate this particular fake image, but there are several popular AI-creation tools available that allow users to create realistic images based on text prompts. Some of these tools include DALL-E, Stability Diffusion, and Midjourney.

This is not the first time that fake photos of Trump have circulated online, especially ones featuring him alongside historical figures. In July, fake photos of Trump with Dr. King were also shared on X, thanks to right-wing influencers.

The spread of these fake images raises concerns about the ease with which manipulated content can be created and shared online. It is important for users to critically evaluate the authenticity of images and information before sharing them on social media platforms.
